Halloween 2012

*** As promised, some more (better) photos***

This was Carter's first Halloween and Payton's second. This year we carved pumpkins, Payton was able to help and it turns out she LOVED it- Carter, on the other hand, slept right through it (so no pictures of him).

Payton was right in there with every step; she watched TJ cut open the pumkin, helped gut the pumpkin (which she really liked, and only tried to taste it once), she drew on it, and watched us carve it.

Getting started...

Just dive right in

My turn, Dad!

I can do it Mommy!

soooo big!!!

I got another seed, mom!

Look at all these guts Dad! How cool!!

I'll show you how it's done...

Good family fun!

The final product...

We had a Halloween party with a bunch of our friends. We thought it was a good idea because it's just so hard to see everyone in their costumes on Halloween, because of all the family we like to see and candy we like to get :)
My mom came over to help me with some of the items I wanted to have at the party... check out the cool decorations...

100% edible eye balls (minus the stick), they are timbits dipped in white chocolate, with a chocolate chip for the pupil and food coloring painted on for effect.

3 suckers wrapped up into pumpkins, ghosts, bats, spiders and Frankenstein

Milk jug ghosts

100% edible brain- just a small watermelon peeled and carved to look like a brain

From left to right: Cyrus, Caiden, Carter, Beckett, Payton, Katie, Jaden, Logan & Carson
-we were missing two little ones who were sick :(

Payton with Uncle Brian & Auntie Laura

Heading to pick up Auntie Becca from school, had to surprise her in costume! We put a bow on her, so people would know she was a girl monkey.

If you asked her what a monkey says, she'd respond "ooh, ooh, ahh, ahh". It was sooo cute and well fitting :) It went a little something like this...

Can anyone relate????

Other people got some better pictures so when/if they send them to me I'll post them up after.

Payton LOVED Trick or Treating. Despite the fact that it was below zero, Payton loved checking out all the kids in their costumes, walking around outside (not in a stroller) and adored all the decorations. She wasn't scared of any! In fact, when we left a house with decorations, she would cry and try going back to get a better look, saying "oh wow!". It was cute! We had a great time at my parents' house for dinner and then hanging out at Leon & Teresa's on Graham Drive to see soooo many adorable, familiar faces. Happy Halloween!
