A Day the the Park (more like an hour at the park)

With all of this great weather we've been having, Payton and I try to get out everyday. She loves watching the trees and cars, hearing the birds and dogs, and feeling the grass and rocks. So on Sunday after church (and nap) we decided to go for a walk to the park. Oma had taken Payton last week while she was babysitting and said Payton liked the swings (well, at first anyways) so we thought we'd see first hand what she thought about it. Overall she liked the swings and the slide, but what do you think she liked most??? Have a look at these pictures and see for yourself...

I'm sure you guessed it... she liked everything- from the swing (with Daddy) to the slide, but most of the all the chains and rocks!!! Basically, anything but her hat!!!

What a fun day (hour)!!!

When it's Hot Outside... Sit in a FREZING Cold Pool!

This was about a month ago, but I thought it would be a good idea to put Payton in a pool on a hot summer's day. She loves the bath so I thought the pool would be even better!

We had to get ready for the pool... and Oh is Payton ever ready!

What a little model!

Why go swimming when you can just chew on sunglasses?!!

Ready to go!

In we go... it's too cold, even after over 25 pitchers of boiling hot water!!!

Faking it for a photo opportunity

Trying it out...

Time for a break... too cold!

I want O-U-T, OUT!!!

It was a good first attempt, we'll have to try it again on a nicer day :)

This experienced was captured by Auntie Becca and Auntie Kimmy...
Thanks you guys!!!

Payton is 6 Months Old Today!

Seein that Payton is 6 months old now. TJ and I decided it was time for her to start eating solid foods. She was definitely ready, she has been watching us eat our food and tries to grab it and put it in her mouth. To get her ready, we put her in her "highchair" and gave her a spoon to play with so she can become familiar with it before we jam it in her mouth.
What's this?
Look Mom, a spoon!
Ok Payton, hands down then food in
Yum, Yum. Yum
I don't need your help, I can do it all by myself!
That's funny, when I bite THIS I don't get in trouble...
I can get use to this!
Mmmmm... good 'til the last drop!

Based on these pictures, I think she enjoyed it :)

Based on this picture, it's hard to tell. Her face covered in food says "Yum, yum" but her expression may say differently.
