Summer Time- Camping in Radium

This summer has been more eventful than last summer... we actually took holidays! TJ has been working non-stop on the house renos and deserved a vacation or two. We did things this summer we had never done with Payton, but thought that with two youngins we'd do just fine! And realistically we did do just fine; we've got two pretty great kids!

This summer we went camping in Radium with (almost) all the Bouwman cousins, aunt, uncles and grandma for the August long weekend. We spent time playing at the park, going for walks, chatting, eating,  playing games, going to the beach and the hot springs. We didn't take many pictures unfortuantely as we were trying to keep an eye on Payton and stay out of the heat (it was over 30 degrees everyday!)

Ready for the car ride... her first camping experience!

Carter was ready too!

It was a long ride... nap time!

"I have the best Daddy, he can drive & tickle me at the same time!"

It may not look like it, but we all enjoyed eating meals together as a family

"Ready for the water! But wait... was is this thig on me?"

So much attention from Oma & Auntie Nicole

Fortunately for us, this is what Carter did for most of his first camping experience... sleep!

We had a lot of fun spending time with our family. Such a great time in fact we didn't stop to take many pictures. One thing that wasn't captured was when Payton climbed out of her pack n' play and came knocking on the door while I was outside feeding Carter. She almost gave me a heart attack. Thankfully she hasn't done it since, but I have now mentally prepared myself.
